 WelcomeWelcome to the community of Searchmont. Come and visit us in the middle of nature's playground. We offer outdoor recreation and beautiful scenery all year long; great hunting, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, swimming, skiing, snowmobiling and dog sledding. Searchmont is a small town of about 300 permanent residents and 100 seasonal residents. Located approximately 50 km. northeast of Sault Ste. Marie (See Map!), we offer the chance to experience the outdoors without having to go too far away from civilization. Our unique position in the valley provides a beautiful sunrise and sunset each day (weather permitting of course). We also have all sorts of streams, rivers and lakes spannnig the countryside. Overall, Searchmont is a nice town with lots of wilderness left to explore.
